All commissions are done in oil paint on stretched canvas and varnished with a protective UV coating.

Commission Guidelines

Creating a personalized piece is not exactly a science. I can never know exactly how a piece is going to turn out. It helps if we can agree on a general theme; if clients can look back on some of my previous pieces and point out particular color schemes and subject matter that inspire them. Also, discussing where the piece will be displayed can be an influential factor to consider. This will help me move in the right direction but still allow for a little bit of freedom as I paint. I take a lot of pride in my work and it's important to keep an open mind and not have precise expectations.

You are welcome to provide photo references, but please provide a selection so I can choose the one that best suits the composition of the piece.

Timeframe

I will be able to give an estimate after we decide what direction the piece is going to go in and the size of the canvas I'll be working on. Generally, production time and sufficient drying time for transport can range from 1-2 months--less if clients pick up the painting themselves (oil paint takes so long to dry and I can't wrap it and ship it right away).
